LEFTOVERS/STORAGE: This can be prepared in advance and stored for about a month in the pantry. For longer-term storage, keep in the fridge. Keep in an airtight container like these silicone bags or a glass container like a mason jar. NUTRITION NOTES: This trail mix is energy and nutrient dense. It contains fiber, antioxidants and is a good source of vitamin E and potassium. Ideally use unsweetened and unsulphured dried fruit. Since this is an energy-dense snack, make sure to keep in mind portion size. VARIATIONS: Feel free to use what you have on hand and mix it up! Add in raisins or walnuts, dried apricots would also be good.
